Later, the Governor welcomed Mrs Frances Underwood and Ms Catherine Cretan to present parent and baby/toddler music classes on behalf of the Peter Underwood Centre.

In the morning, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers, commenced an official visit to the City of Burnie which included visits to the Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden, Burnie Community House, Camdale Coastcare and Penguin Rehabilitation Project, University of Tasmania Cradle Coast campus and meetings with Burnie Youth Council and Business North West representatives, prior to attending a Civic Reception hosted by the Burnie City Council at the Burnie Town Hall.

Later, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted an afternoon tea to acknowledge Tasmanian Wildlife Rehabilitators/Carers.
