In the afternoon, the Ambassador of Sweden, His Excellency Mr Pontus Melander, arrived at Government House to stay.

In the evening, the Governor and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a formal dinner in honour of the official visit to Tasmania by the Ambassador of Sweden.
