In the morning at Government House, Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a tour for members of the Central Men’s Shed, New Town.

In the evening at Princes Wharf 1, Hobart, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Chalmers, co-hosted, with the Acting Premier of Tasmania, the presentation of the 2025 Australian of the Year Awards (Tasmania).
