In the evening at Princes Wharf 1, Hobart, the Governor, accompanied by Professor Chalmers, co-hosted, with the Acting Premier of Tasmania, the presentation of the 2025 Australian of the Year Awards (Tasmania).

Later at Huonville, the Governor and Professor Chalmers visited and met with staff, students and volunteers at the Huon Valley Bike Collective.
