In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, appointed and swore to office the Honourable Jeremy Rockliff as Minister for Trade; the Honourable Michael Ferguson as Minister for Planning; the Honourable Elise Archer as Minister for Corrections and Rehabilitation; the Honourable Guy Barnett as Minister for State Development, Construction and Housing; and Minister for Energy and Renewables; the Honourable Roger Jaensch as Minister for Environment and Climate Change; the Honourable Nic Street as Minister for Hospitality and Events; and Minister for Local Government; the Honourable Madeleine Ogilvie as Minister for Advanced Manufacturing and Defence Industries; and Minister for Science and Technology; and the Honourable Jo Palmer as Minister for Primary Industries and Water; Minister for Disability Services; Minister for Women; and as a Member of the Executive Council.

Later, the Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.
