Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania - 2021 Royal Hobart Show

In the morning at the Royal Hobart Showgrounds, Glenorchy, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, accompanied by Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers, delivered an address to officially open the 2021 Royal Hobart Show on behalf of the Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania, following which they toured exhibits and attended the President’s Luncheon at which Her Excellency presented the Living Legend Award.

International Women's Day Luncheon 2026

On Friday 6 March 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Barbara Baker AC, Governor of Tasmania, hosted an International Women’s Day fundraising luncheon at Government House to support Tasmanian women with gynaecological cancer. More than 100 people attended the event, with all proceeds going to the Rotary Tasmania Gynaecological Cancer Project.
