In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Professor Chalmers hosted a formal dinner in honour of the official visit to Tasmania by the High Commissioner for Canada, Her Excellency Dr Julie Sunday, and Mr Mark McLaughlin.

In the afternoon at Crowne Plaza Hobart, the Governor, accompanied by Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers, presented the 2025 AICD Gold Medal Award at the Tasmanian Annual Lunch hosted by the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
