In the evening at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a reception to mark the bicentenary of the appointment of the inaugural Solicitor-General in Tasmania.

In the afternoon at North Hobart Football Oval, the Governor and Professor Chalmers attended the Anzac Day Reception and Observance Ceremony hosted by the Australian Federation of Totally and Permanently Incapacitated Ex-Servicemen and
