In the evening at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Barbara Baker, and Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers hosted a reception for the Tasmanian Racing Club to mark the 2025 Hobart Cup Carnival.

Later at Bellerive Oval, the Governor and Professor Chalmers attended the Women's National Cricket League match between the Tasmanian Tigers and the ACT Meteors.
