Morning

In the morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor the Honourable Kate Warner, received Ms Bernadette Black, CEO and Founding Director, Brave Foundation.

Evening

In the evening the Governor and Mr Warner hosted a reception to mark Commonwealth Day 2021 on behalf of the Royal Commonwealth Society – Southern Tasmanian Branch.

Later at The Hutchins School, Sandy Bay, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Warner, delivered an address at a fundraising dinner hosted by the Year 12 students of The Hutchins School, Fahan School and St Michael’s Collegiate School to mark International Women’s Day.

In the afternoon at Crowne Plaza Hobart, the Governor, accompanied by Emeritus Professor Don Chalmers, presented the 2025 AICD Gold Medal Award at the Tasmanian Annual Lunch hosted by the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
